The herbs in this tincture are intentionally and thoughtfully blended to support the womb of pregnant people in preparation for childbirth. It’s a good alternative for those pregnant people who don’t enjoy drinking tea.

These herbs in the traditional NORA tea blend, and the others included in this elixir have historically been used by pregnant people to tone the uterine muscles, maximize mineral absorption, mitigate morning sickness, and support the liver.

Angelica Tincture Description:

1oz tincture

Traditionally, angelica (angelica archangelica not dong quai angelica sinensis) has been used to reduce the growth of tumors, address digestive issues, easing pain associated with urinary tract infections and menstrual cramps. It promotes perspiration and so helpful in easing fevers. it’s also helpful in regulating menstruation and balancing hormones. it’s often used by birthing people to facilitate contractions and expelling the placenta after baby is born.

avoid during pregnancy, nursing and with a heavy menstrual flow.

Afterpains Tincture Description:

2oz tincture

The herbs in this tincture are intentionally and thoughtfully blended to ease the painful uterine contractions that can happen during the postpartum period.

Shepherd’s Purse Tincture Description:

1oz tincture

Traditionally, Shepherd’s Purse has been called one of the best herbs to use for heavy bleeding during menstruation. it’s commonly been used to reduce postpartum bleeding, only after the placenta has been born. it’s a styptic, which means it stops bleeding, and can be helpful for minor outdoor injuries and nosebleeds. it’s has also been used to increase blood pressure, soothe the bladder, and treat blood in the urine.

shepherd’s purse (Capsella bursa pastoris)

Motherwort Tincture Description:

1oz tincture

Historically, motherwort has been used as a cardiac tonic and calming nervine. it has been used to relieve anxiety and lower blood pressure. It has also been used to ease menstrual cramps, bring on delayed menstruation, and address hormonal issues during menopause. It has been used by birthing people to address heavy blood loss after birth, before or after the release of the placenta.
